Review: Rogue Dungeon

Rogue Dungeon Rogue Dungeon by James A. Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review From Boyfriend And Myself:

We both really enjoyed this story. I held the book off so that he and I could listen to it together. We have listened to it together from beginning to end and we both loved it. We can't wait to listen to the second one. This is an excellent way to spend time together as well.

The narrator did a great job. I have no complaints about him or the book itself. I wound up picking up an ebook so I could read along now and then. It's available on Kindle Unlimited for those who would rather read instead of listening. Or read and listen. Fully enjoyed this.

Review: Finger Lickin' Fifteen

Finger Lickin' Fifteen Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a very interesting one. And a unique change of events. This time instead of Stephanie getting in the middle of shenanigans, it's Lula! She witnesses a murder! If that isn't enough for one book, Ranger is dealing with an issue that may bring his security company down.

I really enjoyed the book a lot. I feel like there was a lot of places that could have been drawn out a bit more and given a little more flair. But that's about it. This is my first time reading this book. I had forgotten where I left off in the series and thought it was here, but now I'm beginning to think it was twelve.

Review: Nectar and Ambrosia

Nectar and Ambrosia Nectar and Ambrosia by E.M. Hamill
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My boyfriend and I listened to this together. I was originally intending to listen to it alone, but I listened to it for a bit without headphones and he loved what he was hearing. We started it over so we could hear it all together. Therefore, I'm giving him permission to have this review on his page. Especially since we are writing it together.

He feels that it was incredible that the only actual god in the book was Hera. The rest of the gods aren't actually gods. They are aliens. He felt that made the story very unique. I loved the take on the whole thing. It reminded me of two series that I have read before that I rather enjoyed.

The story was the perfect balance of serious and suspenseful and hilarious. There was romance in it, but it didn't overshadow the actual point of the story. That's really refreshing. It was a very clean book. I think that's something my boyfriend liked best of all!

Overall, we fully recommend. I'm not sure if I've listened to this narrator before, but either way, she was fantastic! I was very impressed with her. I believe my boyfriend was too.

Review: Visions of Sugar Plums

Visions of Sugar Plums Visions of Sugar Plums by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a very light and silly book. I enjoyed it very much. I also felt this was a very creative way to introduce a new character. Not that this author has ever had issues introducing new characters. I'm just saying. I really enjoyed this book.

I do feel that there were a lot of things that were kind of rushed over and not really explained all that well. But this book did seem to be a bit shorter than most. I won't really complain too much. The story seemed like a bonus story more than an actual one. It also seemed like it was an introduction more than anything.

Review: my life as a pop album

my life as a pop album my life as a pop album by L.J. Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really really really enjoyed this book! I think I've been waiting to get the chance to read this book since I read the first book. That was a beautiful and sad story. This story doesn't compare to that in the deep factor, but that's okay. It was a different story entirely and didn't need the depth. The narrator was terrific as always. She's one of my favorites.

I don't really have much to complain about as far as this book goes. I really related to Mia in so many ways. There were some things I wish had been explained in more detail. Especially a certain scene where Mia reveals something to her parents that she's kept a secret for a long time. I'd of liked to see more emotion and closure there.

Overall, I really enjoyed this. I can't wait to read many more books by this author. She really knows how to pull a reader in and emotionally wreck them in all the best ways possible. I fully recommend this book and the book before it.

Review: Gilead

Gilead Gilead by Marilynne Robinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It was very nostalgic and beautiful. It was like I walked into a person's journal and was reading everything they wrote. I realize that's most likely the point of this story. But yeah. That's how I felt. It was beautiful. It was very touching.

I got an audiobook because I needed to read this for the book club and my first impression of the book was that I wouldn't like it at all. I figured an audiobook would help persuade me to like it a little better. I'm glad to say I was wrong. It is a very wonderful book! I'll be reading the other two.

Review: Favor of the Gods

Favor of the Gods Favor of the Gods by Ali Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a very unique story. I really enjoyed it. The narrator was very great as well. This is a great book for something short and sweet. Something you can listen to all in one sitting. Like while doing chores or working out. It adds a nice twist to Greek mythology as we know it.

My only critique is that it just wasn't long enough. I felt like there were many issues that should have been enhanced upon. I'd of liked to see more scenes that were mentioned or referenced but not really put in. That being said, it was great the way it was. I fully recommend.

Review: Ten Big Ones

Ten Big Ones Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Any book with Sally Sweet is amazing! I love love love him! I wish that he could have been in every book after he was introduced. But I'm sure that would be overdoing it. Stephanie is pretty much a loner. She has people she associates with and cares about, but for the most part, she likes to be by herself. I think that's why I love this series so much. I relate so much to her.

There's not really much I dislike about this book. This isn't my first time reading this book, but it may as well. For some reason, I couldn't remember much details at all about this book. I still can't figure out why. I loved it though. I fully recommend this series!

Review: Bonded

Bonded Bonded by Cheryllynn Dyess
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was incredibly adorable. I loved every page! I wanted to pull myself into the book and live in that world forever! I would have in a heartbeat too! If I could get away with it of course. The characters are so loveable and the story was insanely sweet. I fully encourage everybody to read it. It's light and fluffy with just enough serious undertones to not be taken too lightly.

The author is amazing. This is not the first book I've read by her and I can promise you it won't be my last. This author has an amazing talent with taking a topic and giving her own unique spin to it. Think you've already read an x amount of books just like it? You're wrong! I fully recommend this author to those who haven't tried her before!

Review: Shades of Fury

Shades of Fury Shades of Fury by Heather Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really really enjoyed this book. The main character reminds me so much of Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy series. Which if you haven't read, I fully recommend. She's feisty and strong. I know it's ironic to compare her to a character in a vampire series, but yeah. The story itself was amazing too. It was like Criminal Minds does Supernatural but with darker undertones.

I will give this one very important piece of information. Please make sure to have the next book available on hand. This one leaves off on a bit of a cliff hanger. I'm not a fan of cliff hangers, but I'm not sure anybody is. I would have grabbed the next book without the cliff hanger though. So it works! Fully recommend!

The narrator was pretty amazing too. She is quite talented.

Review: The Language of Flowers

The Language of Flowers The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was very insightfully deep. I enjoyed it from the very beginning. There were times that I wanted to shake Victoria because she was being so stubborn. But I understood why she was being the way she was being. It's very hard to trust when you grow up with no love, compassion, or kindness. It was nice to watch her grow in the book.

The only thing I didn't like about the book was that it ended! I wanted to keep reading and reading this beautiful story. It would have probably been nice to see other points of view of this too. Even if that made the book longer. Especially Elisabeth's. I really enjoyed this book regardless.

I read the first part of the book and listened to the rest. The narrator did a fantastic job. She definitely added a lot to the book. Not that it needed it, but there it is.

Review: The Reapers

The Reapers The Reapers by Ali Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think I have just stumbled upon another favorite series of all time! I won't know until I've read the rest of the series, of course. My gut tells me that I'm right though. I'm debating on listening to the whole series in honor of listening to the first one. Either way, I'm getting my hands on the rest of this series. Even if it doesn't become one of my favorites, I will devour this series. I will absolutely love it!

The narrator did a really great job. I adored hearing it. She gave a flair to an already great story that I just loved! The only real problem I had with this story at all is the fact that I can't say the story matched the blurb presented for it. They were similar but I feel like the blurb put more focus on things that the story really didn't. Just my opinion though. Still loved it and still fully recommend!

Review: Blinded

Blinded Blinded by Lyz Kelley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was such a beautiful and wholesome story. It didn't gloss over how nasty people can be with people with disabilities. Struggling from some disabilities myself, I can appreciate that fact greatly. It gets old having people acting like people aren't judged and looked down on for having a disability. But I digress. The story was so beautiful. I enjoyed it so much. If I could have listened to it in one sitting, I would have. Darn having things to do!

I do have a small dislike with this, but I'm not sure how to hand it without giving spoilers. I'm a little disappointed that a part of the story was left unsolved. This is a series, but it seems like a standalone series. I'm hoping I'm wrong. I'm hoping there will be answers that I'm looking for. We shall see. Other than that, I had no problems with the book. I enjoyed it very much. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I may listen to them as well since the narrator was so great!

Review: Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum, #14)

Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum, #14) Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum, #14) by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't say this is one of my favorites of the books, but I didn't hate it either. It had all the usual disastrous moments that made me laugh out loud. But there were parts that just made me feel like they didn't have their usual flair. The drama in the book seemed to be toned down. Maybe that was just me reading too much into it though. One of my favorite Plum characters was in this. The Mooner. I seriously wish he was in the series a whole lot more. I adore him!

I'm finally at the point in the series where I paused it. Not that I did that on purpose. I just didn't have the books from this point on and when I finally got them all I forgot which one I left off on! So I just started them all over again. Which wound up being a good thing since I forgot a lot of important details. Still love the series and can't wait to read what I haven't read before!

Review: Four to Score

Four to Score Four to Score by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great Stephanie Plum book. This one introduces one of my favorite characters. I just hope he becomes a more permanent member in this series. He's hilarious and everything. I would love to have a best friend like him. For those of you who don't know, read it. Sally Sweet is hilarious!

I can't really say I dislike anything about this book. It was adventurous and hilarious! I guess my only critique is I wish that they would have highlighted one of the intrigue drama mysteries a bit more. I don't want to say which because I don't want to spoil the book. But it could have used a bit more explanation and flare. Either way, it was a great book. I love this series!

Review: Two for the Dough

Two for the Dough Two for the Dough by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love all these books, but I think this has to be one of my favorites. And not just because it's constantly referenced repeatedly in the series. It's hilarious and intriguing. The only reason it took me so long to read it is that I had to shelf it for a little bit to move on to other books. I don't recommend doing that.

It seems there were a lot of details I missed the first time reading through this book. But I guess that's true with most books. I don't recommend listening to the narrator. She kind of cuts the humor a bit. Especially at the end. I'll just leave it at that. Great book and great series! I love them!

Review: A Tangled Fate

A Tangled Fate A Tangled Fate by Aidy Award
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story has a lot of potential. I just feel it was very rushed. There was a story, but it was overshadowed by sex and lust. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm sure this book will be perfect for those who enjoy a high heat level. It is a very amazing story and idea though. I will say that. I didn't hate it. I just wish the author would have drawn it out a bit more.

The narrator did a fantastic job on this book. I am very impressed. I haven't listened to many books with the narrator, but I wouldn't mind it. I could see her quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators. She is very talented. She can put flair to any story.

Review: Until We Are Gone

Until We Are Gone Until We Are Gone by Gia Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was one of the most beautiful stories I've ever heard in my life. And I'm not just saying that because of the fact that one of my favorite narrators narrated the book. It was touching and beautiful. It was super inspirational. There were a few things I wish had been explained a little better, but I get why they weren't. I also get why the story flowed the way it did.

I loved this book so much. I think I could go back and read it over and over again. The story was amazing. The narrator made an amazing story shine more. It seems impossible with a story as good as this, but it's true. All I recommend is that the person has tissues handy. It's very touching and very deep. Some things may be a bit too deep.

Review: The Girl Behind the Red Door

The Girl Behind the Red Door The Girl Behind the Red Door by Cassie Graham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was so adorable. I loved every moment of it. It's one of the feel-good types of books that give me faith in humanity again. The characters were all loveable. I adored every single one of them and wanted to see more of certain characters in the book. I'd even love to see books with other characters as the main characters.

I can't think of anything wrong with the book. There were parts that were a little cheesy and maddening. But that's true with most books. The narrators did an amazing job with this book! I loved them! They brought the story to a new level! And that's saying a lot!

Review: Consumed

Consumed Consumed by Sara Fields
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I can honestly say that this book had a very unique story. It was intense. It was also very short and sweet. I honestly wish I could say that this is the type of book that I could have gotten invested in fully. However, to say so would be a lie. I wasn't really into this book at all. It was a nice book. It just wasn't the book for me.

There are some critiques I have about this book. I won't get into it too much because I don't want to ruin the book for other potential readers. For one, there's just a part that makes no sense to me. The main character is CIA if I'm not mistaken but the way she acts just screams contradiction. The rest is that there are a lot of places where it jumps and it gets confusing.

The narrator did a great job though. This has great potential. It's just not something I would pick up and read again.

Review: The Groom: A Contemporary Romantic Suspense

The Groom: A Contemporary Romantic Suspense The Groom: A Contemporary Romantic Suspense by Elise Marion
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great book. It was very wholesome and encouraging. I also loved the dark and dangerous undertones. The thrill of the chase and fear so to speak. I just wanted to keep reading. I didn't want to stop. I didn't read the first book, but now I want to just to have some answers about the beginning of the book.

There are parts that I feel were too rushed over. I kind of wanted a little more build up in certain parts, but it was very good either way. The narrator did a great job with the book as well. I'm intrigued to read book three now!
