Review: Ark of the Apocalypse

Ark of the Apocalypse Ark of the Apocalypse by Tobin Marks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was so excited to get this book the moment I saw this cover. It gives very big Eragon vibes. If you know, you know. The girl on the cover looks like a young Danni from Game of Thrones. I could go on and on about the cover, but I'll move on. I absolutely loved this book. I need more! I will be instantly buying anything from this author that I see from here on!

Story: I've been seeing this book on TikTok for a long time. I was so curious about it. I was on the fence about it until I actually stumbled across the author. I don't know her personally. I just follow her on social media. Anyways, she was talking about a certain point of the book and that tipped me over the fence about it. I immediately bought a copy. I am so happy I did. It was a beautifully imaginative story. I haven't read the sequel yet, but I fully plan to.
Characters: Remy was a force to be messed with. She's fiesty and she's strong. She had two brown witch companions that were like family to her. They were just as amazing. I wish I could have gotten to see more of them. We also have Hale and his crew. They were just as amazing. Well, they weren't as fiesty, but that's okay. They had their own quirks. We weren't supposed to trust Hale in the beginning, but I have to admit. I did.
Critiques: None
Narration: N/A
Final Thoughts: This quickly became one of my favorite books of all time. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I just know that I'm going to see some amazing things.

Review: The Gunslinger

The Gunslinger The Gunslinger by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rowan is on a mission to find and bring down The Man In Black. Through this book we go through his journey and the people he meets along the way. Including his meeting Jake, And his learning to love the kid and wanting to protect him.

I really enjoyed this book! I have to be honest, I watched the movie before I read the book. I loved the movie, but I'm so glad that I took the time to actually listen to the book as well. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I have a feeling I'll be going through a wild ride! The only criticism I have is the over usage of names when they could have been replaced in some instances with he/she.

The narrator of this book was amazing. He definitely knows how to draw an audience in and does so well. I loved how he gave the characters such fitting personalities. It made me enjoy the book even more!

Of course, I fully recommend this book. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the books. I hadn't had access to the books before now. I'm so glad that I finally managed to get access to it and I will be finding a way to get ahold of physical copies of the book as well to go back and actually reading them.
