Review: Smokin' Seventeen

Stephanie has a lot on her plate. She finds herself checking in for work in Mooner’s RV since the office was mysteriously blown up. Business isn’t going so great either. She manages to catch the only FTA’s left in the system while Vinnie scrambles to find a way to drum up business while the office is being rebuilt. During all of this, somebody is leaving dead bodies on the empty lot where the office used to be. They even addressed a few of them to Stephanie.
I enjoyed this book very much. Any book that has Mooner in it is just a fantastic book to me. He is one of my all-time favorite characters. I wouldn’t consider him a book boyfriend, but he would definitely be someone I’d want to hang out with all the time. He’d be one of my best friends! But I’m moving off the point. I was also proud of myself because I figured out who did it before it was officially announced! It’s a great feeling. I can’t even begin to explain it.
The characters are as amazing as they always are. I have to be honest; I don’t like the decline I’m seeing with Grandma Mazur and Lula. It seems they are kind of fading into the background a bit. I didn’t see much of their energetic and outgoing personalities in this book. Maybe it was just overshadowed by all the events happening. I’ll see with the rest of the series! I love these characters so much. Especially Mooner. I brought up book boyfriend’s earlier. All I can say is Ranger definitely fits into that category.
I fully recommend this book. I have to state that this is the seventeenth book in a series. While they could all be read by themselves, it’s just better to read as a series. I would love to watch this as a television series one day! I know they made the first book into a movie. I loved it! I just think it would be a great television series. I’d make a point to watch every single episode!

I took one look at this cover and just knew I would love it. I was not wrong. The characters are amazing. The story is amazing. I am glad that I chose to go with my gut reaction about this book. So far, it has not lead me wrong. My best correlation I can give about this book is True Blood. Except the main character is a witch.

Review: Moon Cursed

Moon Cursed by Grace White

This book wrecked me. I had the biggest hangover ever due to this book. I just can't even begin to tell you about it. My heart!!! I don't even know! Don't take this review to mean you shouldn't read it. You SHOULD read it! I fully and strongly recommend it. Just prepare to be wrecked if you're very invested in the characters like I was.

The narrator was fantastic. She's one of my absolute favorite narrators of all times. I love her style. And she has this twang about her that's just so adorable. So I not only recommend this book (please read the first book first), I also recommend the narrator!

Review: Time's Anchor

Time's Anchor by Lynda Engler

This was a quirky little story about a group of people who let scientists run experiments on them to earn some extra cash during their college years. For some reason, the testing causes them to randomly disappear and reappear in different time frames. It's a very short and very easy to read. I would have given it full stars, but I felt it could have been drawn out a little and been given more depth.

I liked the narrator. They did a pretty decent job delivering the story. At the moment, I can't think of anything negative about the narration. Only the length of the book. I fully recommend.

Review: Awesome Possum

Awesome Possum by M. Garzon

I really enjoyed this book. It's had quite a few great lessons. It covers children after divorce. It covers horses and their behaviorisms. It covers bullying. That's just naming a few things it covers. I fully enjoyed the story and I think many children would benefit greatly from reading this book.

The narrator was pretty amazing too. This is the first time I've heard them. That I'm aware of anyways. I listen to a lot of audiobooks. But they were great. I have no complaints.

Review: The Moirai

The Moirai by Ali Winters

Nivian is lost after Kain sacrifices his life for her. She doesn’t feel like she can go on. The ritual to transfer Silas’ powers to her fails because her heart isn’t in it. She feels that her heart will never be in it unless she can find a way to bring Kain back so he can accept his place as the Keeper Of Life. Going against all orders and wishes, she goes to find a way to bring him back no matter what the cost.
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve loved this series from book one. I can’t wait to continue with this series. I thought for a minute that this would be the last one. I was very upset about that. Once I discovered there was a book four, I was instantly cheered. This has quickly become one of my favorite series of all time. I’m glad I stumbled upon it. I will definitely be reading this series over and over.
The characters are so easy to relate to and connect with. I adore them all. All of them. Not just Kain and Nivian. Even if they are two of my favorites. There are two that the story kind of hints have an attraction to each other. I really hope something comes about with that. I am totally ready for that relationship. They both deserve to find happiness. I relate so much to the girl and I adore the guy so much. Like he could be my book boyfriend level! I realize that I didn’t drop names, but I did that to keep any spoilers out. The reader will just have to read the book to figure it out!
The narrator was just as great in this book as she was the first two. It is very obvious that this narrator is a very compassionate individual and she uses that compassion in all the stories she narrates. I have only listened to her read this series, but I will definitely be listening to other audiobooks of hers if I’m able to. She is very talented. I adored the amount of life she has given this story.
I can’t state how much I absolutely love this series. The first book sucked me in and I’ve been into the story sense. Even when I’m not reading it. I can’t say I’m obsessed, but I can’t say I’m far from being obsessed either. This is a clean paranormal/fantasy story. It’s a romance, but the story isn’t wrapped completely around the romance like a romance novel would be. I can’t wait for the next book to be released on audio!

Review: Sizzling Sixteen

Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich

Stephanie’s cousin and boss is kidnapped. He owes a lot of money so the people he owes money to take him until the money could be paid off. The three girls must find a way to come up with the money that increases every day due to interest or they are all out of a job. Stephanie also does her best to track down the fugitives while she in the midst of all of this.
I really liked this book a lot. It wasn’t super action packed like some of her earlier books in the series was, but it was still great. I always love the books with Mooner in them. He brings so much character to the story. Grandma Mazur does the same. She’s in most of the books though. I sometimes wish that Mooner could be.
The character development is as great as ever. There's a connection and bond with all of the characters that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to shake. I’m not sure if I’d even want to. A lot of people would be like “this series is too long” when a series has more than ten books. I’m not that type. Give me as many as you want! My favorite character of the whole series is Mooner, but the rest are a riot! Ranger is definitely a perfect book boyfriend!
I’m definitely in love with this series. It’s one of my favorite book series of all time. I’m very excited that I’m finally getting caught up with all of them. I could never remember where I left off so I decided to just read all of them from the beginning. That was probably for the best. I never read the in between novels. I strongly recommend this series!
