Medieval by Ashley Brian

This was a short short story. There were parts of it that made me cringe a bit. I was really interested in reading more. It ended too soon for me. I'll have to check out more stories by this author. She definitely has a way with words.

Aris by Cassie Greutman

Another great story. I just wish it was longer. I know that's nearly impossible with all of the other stories with it. I will definitely look for more by this author as well. I think I remember there being a series from the world of this story. I could be wrong. If I'm not, I'm definitely going to get them all.

Dragon Valley by Clarissa Gosling

This one made me a bit sad. Mainly because I can relate to the main character's feeling like an outcast. I loved that it ended in a way that gave me enough curiosity to pick up the series that this short story is a companion of. I'd also love to read other stories by the author.

Dragon Hearts Beating by Diana Dawn

This one wasn't a favorite of mine, but I did enjoy it very much. I'd even be willing to read other books by this author. I think this story also represents a series. I could be wrong on that. There are many parts of this story that I feel like had they been prolonged a little bit I would have liked it a lot more. Which says something. I did like it. It just wasn't my favorite.

The Knight and the Dragon by Megan Grooms

There were so many times during the beginning of this story that I may or may not have wanted to smack the main male lead upside the head. I mean surely he couldn't be that dense! I get that it was intended for the story to give an awe factor. I just pick up on things pretty quickly sometimes. I'm really looking forward to reading other books by this author.

A Blaze of Rubies by Melinda R Cordell

This is a very interesting story. I think I will have a more strong opinion of the story once I've read the series. I feel like I will understand it better. The writing style is great. I really loved reading it!

Rose Dragon by MK Mancos

I can't give words. My mom gushes about this author constantly. She's one of my mom's favorites. I now fully get why. This author is a genius with words! I need more of this story! I have been collecting books by this author. It's about time I start diving into them!

Dreams & Dragons by September North

This is a very intriguing story. I normally guess at books and stories. I'm not always right, mind you. It's just a fun thing I do. I didn’t have the chance here. I was too wrapped up in the story. It seems like the author has other plans pertaining to the world this story takes place in. I'm excited to see it!

Draggin' Decisions by Sofia Ann Hoffman

I will be honest with you. The beginning of this story advises that you read some other works by the author before reading it. I did not read them. Yet!! However, I found the story very easy to read. I enjoyed it very much. I can't wait to read other works by this author.

Bonds of Betrayal by K.M Jenkins

This is a short and sweet story. I was very interested and invested in many parts of it. I did notice it says "Tales of Ferres Story #8". I probably need to track down the other 7 so that I can fully understand things that happened in the story. I wasn't too lost at least. Just curious on what happens from there and what I missed. It was a bit sad though.

Review: Roses of May

Roses of May Roses of May by Dot Hutchison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While still dealing with the aftermath of The Butterfly Garden case, the team of FBI agents are now having to deal with a potential upcoming murder that is approaching as winter ends. Every spring, a killer chooses a young victim to kill. He's killed one every year for years. This year, the team juggles to keep an eye on the Butterfly victims and find the killer before he strikes again.

I really enjoyed this book. Personally, I thought it wasn't as good as the first book, but it was really good! I loved that the author added the previous case into the story. I always wonder what happens with books like that. How the victims turned out in the end. How they were able to cope after it was all said and done. This book portrays that beautifully.

The narrators were just as good in this book as they were the first. They know how to captivate an audience and keep their attention until the very end. They also know how to instill intense emotions in the reader as the story goes along. I'd definitely read more books narrated by them.

I fully recommend this book. I recommend that the reader reads The Butterfly Garden before reading this book though. There are things in the book that just won't make sense unless they do. I guess both books could be read as stand-alone novels if the reader could handle it, but to me it just makes sense to read them both and in order. I can't wait for the third book to be released next May!

Review: The Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maya has been rescued along with many other young ladies. She's the only one who isn't majorly injured. Two agents try to keep their patience with her as they try to get to the bottom of what really happened to all the girls in the garden. Will they be able to sleep easy at night if they know the whole truth? Will they be able to free the girls fromt he horrors that will face them every day from now on?

I really loved this book. My heart went out to all of the characters in the book. Well the butterflies of course. I even adored one of the two agents. The other one I wanted to, but he was too high strung. I won't get too much into this book because I don't want to give away. I just want to say one more time how amazing I found it.

The narrators were amazing. They did a great job as a team. I mean they aren't as good as my favorite duo, but they did a good job nonetheless. I have to be honest though, every time that the guy narrator spoke for Maya, I couldn't help but chuckle. The personality he painted for her was just so funny to me!

I do fully recommend this book. It's definitely Criminal Minds material. Except instead of fully from the FBI's perspective, you get the full victim's version of what had happened. I was hooked from the very beginning and I couldn't get enough. I will be reading other books by this author.

Review: Heartstopper: Volume One

Heartstopper: Volume One Heartstopper: Volume One by Alice Oseman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Story: My intention was to skim through the book to see if I would like it when I got around to reading it. The next thing I know, an hour has passed and I'm finished with the book. I also found myself shopping for the next volumes in the series. It's just such a compelling graphic novel. The pictures and the dialogue is very engaging.
Characters: I found that I related to Charles very much. I feel like he is a male me. The dynamic between him and Nick was amazing and intense. I do wish we had seen more of the secondary characters though.
Critiques: Absolutely NONE!
Narration: N/A
Final Thoughts: This is just such a beautiful and wholesome story. I am so glad that I decided to take the leap and get myself a copy. I have a FairyLoot exclusive copy!
