Review:

Story: This isn't my first time reading this book. I'm actually shocked that I didn't review it the first time I read it. I really enjoyed it both times. I actually think I enjoyed it more the second time around than the first! As weird as that sounds!
Characters: I never really connected well with Jacob. I feel like he was just a little too spoiled and self-centered for my taste. I do appreciate his growth. I have the same opinions about Emma. I just don't think she's as spoiled as Jacob. I think my favorite characters are Millard and Olive. They are just too quirky!
Critiques: None
Narration: I really enjoyed it. Very sophisticated sounding. I love the impersonations of each character.
Final Thoughts: I will most likely read this book again in all honesty. I really enjoy the series very much. Well at least the ones I've read. I'm finally getting to get around to reading the last three books in the series! I'm so excited!

Review:

Story: I really enjoyed this story very much. It was a little weird to me at first, but in a good way. It definitely gives a unique twist. It has this vibe that it’s from an older time frame while still modern. It also takes place outside of Earth. I should also mention that there’s murder! I’m definitely glad that I was able to read this book!

Characters: I’m going to be honest, I didn’t really care for Chase. He’s arrogant and spoiled. He does have some wonderful qualities about him though. He’s very compassionate about those he cares about. I connected most with Cadence. If you read it, you’ll understand. I do wish there were parts from her point of view.

Critiques: None that I can think of.

Narration: Pretty great! I originally got this in paperback, but I also bought a copy in ebook and audio. It’s been so great listening to the audio while following along as you can. The narrator has such a soothing voice as well.

Final Thoughts: I really loved this book so so so much! I can’t wait to see more books come out in this series! They will definitely be impulse buys for me!!!! This author knows how to captivate attention!

Review: Hollow City

Hollow City Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A tragic event happens that leaves the peculiar children homeless and without their Ymbrynes. They decide to fight to get her back only to get her back broken and damaged. Only the help of another Ymbryne can fully restore her back to her human form. Time is getting away and it won't be long before she completely loses her true human form. Can the children find her help before it's too late?

I really enjoyed this! I rarely ever say this, but I feel I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed the first one. I loved the first one! I can't believe I haven't heard of this trilogy until recently. I'm glad I did though. This is definitely one of those tales I can see myself re-reading over and over again! I can't wait to dig into the third book to find out how everything ends. The ending of this one is very surprising! That's all I'll say about it. I do fully recommend this book!
